Medicated shampoo for the treatment of dandruff

Dandruff, itching, a burning sensation and redness are troublesome symptoms that are usually caused by fungi on the scalp.

Nizoral® shampoo with ketoconazole combats the fungus directly on the scalp and quickly and reliably eliminates itching and dandruff. It is easy to use, and Nizoral® can also be used preventatively every 1 to 2 weeks.

Directions for use

Nizoral 2% – medicated shampoo is intended for use by adolescents and adults.

Method of use:

For application to the scalp Wet the hair with warm water, apply Nizoral 2% medicated shampoo (equivalent to approx. 1–2 coffee spoons or 1 sachet) and work into a lather. Leave the shampoo on for 3–5 minutes . Rinsethe hair and scalp thoroughly . Avoid getting the shampoo in your eyes!

The recommended dose is:

• Treatment: Use twice a week for 2–4 weeks.
• To prevent recurrence: use once every 1–2 weeks.

If symptoms persist or if the expected results are not achieved, you should seek medical advice after 4 weeks at the latest.

Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you feel that the effect of Nizoral 2% medicated shampoo is too strong or too weak.

Use in children

The safety and efficacy of NIZORAL 2% medicated shampoo have not been established in children under 12 years of age.

Ingredients

What Nizoral contains – The active ingredient is: ketoconazole. 1 g of shampoo contains 20 mg of ketoconazole

The other ingredients are: imidurea, sodium lauryl ether sulphate, disodium lauryl ether sulphosuccinate, coconut fatty acid diethanolamide, laurdimonium hydrolysate. Animal collagen, polyethylene(120) methylglucose dioleate, sodium chloride, hydrochloric acid, sodium hydroxide, fragrance, erythrosine (E 127) and purified water.
