ActiMaris® NASAL Spray is a hypertonic, alkaline-ionised seawater solution with sea salt (1.2 %), oxychlorite NaOCl (0.04 %) and hypochlorous acid HOCl (0.004 %) and works on a bio-physical basis. The sea salt and oxychlorite have an anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial effect.

ActiMaris® NASAL Spray has a moisturising and cleansing effect in interactions with the mucous membrane. At the same time, ActiMaris® NASAL Spray supports the physiological environment on the surface of the mucous membrane through its composition of minerals, salts and trace elements. Due to its hypertonicity / hyperosmolarity, the solution has a decongestant effect, dissolves plaque and nasal secretions and frees nasal breathing. Thanks to its cleansing effect and dissolution of secretions, ActiMaris® NASAL Spray improves well-being and alleviates the typical symptoms of the above-mentioned indications. ActiMaris® NASAL Spray is gentle on cells and has an efficient and fast antimicrobial effect. The sea salt and oxychlorite are natural preservatives and ensure that the ActiMaris® NASAL Spray solution remains stable for a long time.

ActiMaris® NASAL Spray is suitable as a complementary and supportive therapy for

Runny nose / cold / coryza
Flu-like infections
Acute and chronic inflammation of the nasal mucosa (rhinitis acuta et chronica)
Acute and chronic inflammation of the nasal sinuses (rhinosinusitis acuta et chronica)
Rhinitis medicamentosa (privinismus) after discontinuation of sympathomimetic nasal sprays
Allergic rhinitis (also prophylactic)
Tubal catarrh / middle ear infections
Postoperative (after nasal sinus surgery)
Prophylaxis of multi-resistant germs MRSA / VRE
Prophylaxis of inflammation in the lower airways (reduces postnasal drip)

How to use

With the head slightly bent forwards, the spray reaches the middle and lower nasal passages, thus reaching a larger mucosal area and achieving a better effect.

Adults and children from 2 years of age:

Recommended dosage of ActiMaris® NASAL Spray: 2 sprays in each nostril 4 - 5 times daily.
Can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Infants (under 2 years) and babies:

As required, 1 - 2 sprays into each nostril 2 - 3 times a day.
Infants and small children should not be placed on their backs when using ActiMaris® NASAL Spray, but on their sides. The head should be slightly raised. Always consult a paediatrician before use in infants and small children.

For severe endonasal infections and mucosal coatings, ActiMaris® NASAL Spray can be combined with ActiMaris® Wound Gel 2 - 3 times a day. At the recommended dosage, the content quantity of 20 ml (100 μl per spray) is sufficient for a therapy of between 7 and 10 days (approx. 200 sprays).
