- The essential minerals magnesium and potassium are indispensable for many metabolic processes in the body and often act synergistically within the organism.
- Magnesium , the ‘muscle mineral’, activates around 300 enzymes in the body and plays a central role, particularly in energy production within muscle cells, in neuromuscular signal transmission and in the regulation of muscle activity. Magnesium also reduces nerve excitability and acts as an excellent stress regulator.
- Potassium is involved in regulating the cell’s water balance, as well as in the transmission of nerve and muscle impulses and in muscle contraction.
