How to use
- Children aged 2-11 years: One spray into each nostril once daily. If necessary, the medicine can be used every 8 hours up to a maximum of 3 times a day. The recommended dosage must not be exceeded. The effect of xylometazoline begins 5 - 10 minutes after application and lasts for up to 10 hours.
- Infants and children under 6 years of age: The safety and efficacy of easynasan junior 0.5 mg/ml in infants under 2 years of age has not been established. The use in children aged 2-6 years is exclusively on medical prescription.
- Adults and adolescents (from 12 years of age): A medicinal product with a higher concentration of active substance is available for adults and adolescents.
- Duration of use: If the patient does not feel better after 3 days, or even if there is a deterioration, a doctor must be consulted. This medicine should be used as briefly as possible and should not be used for longer than 7 days.
- Apply easynasan junior nasal spray after blowing your nose and while sitting down. Sit the child on your lap. Remove the cap.
- Hold the bottle upright between your thumb (at the bottom of the bottle) and middle finger. Press down on the pump to spray. Before the first application, it is necessary to spray the spray 5 times into the air to achieve an even dose. If the medicine is not used for a few days, it must be sprayed into the air at least once to achieve an even dose.
- Insert the spray opening into the nostril. Press the pump down; at the same time, the child must breathe in through the nose while you gently press the other nostril closed with a finger. Release the pump and remove it from the nostril. Repeat the process for the other nostril.
- After use, clean the spray opening with water and replace the cap. To prevent the spread of infection, easynasan junior nasal spray may only be used by one person.
Ingredients
- The active ingredient is: xylometazoline hydrochloride. 1 ml solution contains 0.5 mg xylometazoline hydrochloride. 1 spray (= 70 microlitres) contains 35 micrograms of xylometazoline hydrochloride.
- The other ingredients are Sodium hyaluronate, purified seawater, potassium dihydrogen phosphate (E 340), purified water.
- Note: easynasan junior 0.5 mg/ml nasal spray does not contain any preservatives.
