easynasan® nasal spray is a medicine for the treatment of the common cold. By spraying the solution into both nostrils, the inflamed nasal mucosa swells and the excessive secretion is reduced.

- to treat acute rhinitis (rhinitis acuta), allergic rhinitis (rhinitis allergica) and episodic runny nose (rhinitis vasomotorica);
- to facilitate the drainage of secretions in cases of sinusitis and in cases of tubal catarrh associated with a runny nose;
- for diagnostic decongestion of the mucous membranes.
Dosage form
Directions for use
- Adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over: One spray into each nostril once daily. If necessary, the medicine may be used every 8 hours, up to a maximum of 3 times a day. Do not exceed the recommended dose. The effects of xylometazoline begin 5–10 minutes after use and last for up to 10 hours.
- Duration of use: If you do not feel better after 3 days, or if your condition worsens, you must consult a doctor. This medicine should be used for as short a period as possible and must not be used for longer than 7 days.
- Use easynasan nasal spray after blowing your nose and whilst sitting down. Remove the cap.
- Hold the bottle upright between your thumb (at the base of the bottle) and middle finger. To spray, press the pump down.
- Before using for the first time, spray the product 5 times into the air to ensure a consistent dose. If the medicine has not been used for a few days, spray it into the air at least once to ensure a consistent dose.
- Insert the spray nozzle into one nostril. Press the pump down and, at the same time, breathe in through your nose whilst gently closing the other nostril with a finger. Release the pump and remove it from the nostril. Repeat the process for the other nostril.
- After use, clean the spray nozzle with water and replace the cap. To prevent the spread of infection, easynasan nasal spray must only be used by one person.
Ingredients
- The active ingredient is: xylometazoline hydrochloride. 1 ml of solution contains 1 mg of xylometazoline hydrochloride. 1 spray (= 140 microlitres) contains 140 micrograms of xylometazoline hydrochloride.
- The other ingredients are: sodium hyaluronate, purified seawater, potassium dihydrogen phosphate (E 340), purified water.
- Note: easynasan 1 mg/ml nasal spray does not contain any preservatives.
