Thousands of years ago, frankincense was used in religious and cultic practices in the ancient world. Today, however, frankincense is also popular as a dietary supplement due to its boswellic acids.

The extract AKBAmax® (also Bsak 170® or BosPure®) from Indian frankincense is standardised with 10% AKBA (acetyl-keto-boswellic acid), contains no allergens and no ß-boswellic acids.
