- Verrusan Wart Tincture consists of an alcoholic plant extract from the Western arborvitae (Thuja occidentalis L.). The fresh leaves and young twig tips of Thuja occidentalis are used to produce the tincture. These are rich in essential oils such as monoterpenes, the main component of which is thujone.
- Traditionally, the effects of Thuja occidentalis have been considered highly significant in the treatment of warts. Numerous recent studies have demonstrated the immunostimulant and antiviral effects of Thuja occidentalis.
Dosage form
Usage
- Common warts on the palms of the hands and soles of the feet, age warts: Apply topically to the warts twice daily using the brush.
- Genital warts: Apply to the genital warts twice daily using a cotton bud. The cotton bud must only be used once!
- Method of use: For use on the skin. Before treatment, the affected areas of the body must be thoroughly cleaned with soap and water and then dried. Hands should be washed thoroughly before and after treatment.
- Duration of use: The duration of use is limited to 2 weeks. If you do not feel any better or even feel worse after 14 days, consult your doctor.
- Use in children: Use in children under 12 years of age is not recommended due to a lack of data
Ingredients
- The active ingredient is: Thuja occidentalis tincture. 10 ml contains: 10 ml of tincture made from the fresh, leafy twigs of the Western arborvitae (Thuja occidentalis L., herba), drug-to-extract ratio (DER) 1:1–2, extraction solvent: ethanol 90% v/v.
- The other ingredients are: purified water, ethanol 96% v/v Total ethanol content: approx. 63% v/v.
