Thealoz® Total eye drops regenerate, protect and soothe moderately to severely dry eyes. Provide long-lasting moisturisation and relief from red and irritated eyes.

Thealoz® Total is recommended for the treatment of dry, red, watery and itchy eyes. It is a preservative-free solution and is also suitable for contact lens wearers. A key ingredient in Thealoz® Total is trehalose, a natural substance found in many plants and animals that can survive in extremely dry conditions. The second main ingredient is hyaluronic acid, which occurs naturally in the human eye. It stores water to moisturise and moisten the surface of the eye. In addition to trehalose and hyaluronic acid, Thealoz® Total contains NAAGA (N-acetyl-aspartyl-glutamic acid), a soothing and antipruritic ingredient to reduce the symptoms of inflammation.

Thealoz® Total is available in the patented multi-dose ABAK® system as a phosphate-free solution without preservatives that can be used for 3 months after opening. When the ABAK® bottle is pressed, the solution flows through the antibacterial filter membrane (0.2 µm). When the pressure on the bottle is released, the solution is reabsorbed and filtered of air and bacteria. Regardless of the pressure applied, the ABAK® bottle always releases the same drop size. This drop size is sufficient to fill the conjunctival sac.

Thealoz® Total with 0.15% hyaluronic acid + 3% trehalose + 2.45% NAAGA* recommended for:

Moderate to severe symptoms of dry eyes
For moisturising and soothing itchy, reddened and/or irritated eyes
Provides long-lasting protection, moisturisation and wetting for the surface of the eye

Thealoz® Total eye drops - the 3rd generation of lubricants

In addition to hyaluronic acid (1st generation) and trehalose (2nd generation), Thealoz® Total consists of the ingredient NAAGA (N-acetyl-aspartyl-glutamic acid). NAAGA is a proven drug with a good ^tolerability profile1, has anti-inflammatory effects2^,3,4 such as inhibiting the activation of the complement system and thus breaks the vicious circle of dry eye^.1,4

Thealoz® Total significantly improves conjunctival hyperaemia^.1

Dosage form

Eye drops - multidose

Directions for use

1 drop in each eye 3 to 6 times daily.
Instructions for use: Wash your hands thoroughly before use. Do not use any tools to open the bottle. When using THEALOZ TOTAL for the first time, you will notice that it takes a little longer for the first drop to come out due to the unique filter system in the bottle (see product description). Gently pull the lower eyelid down, look up and place a drop into the conjunctival sac and gently close the eye after use. Screw the cap back onto the bottle after use.
Advice for contact lens wearers: If you wear contact lenses, you must remove them before using THEALOZ TOTAL. Wait at least 15 minutes after use before reinserting your contact lenses.

Ingredients

Composition: Trehalose (3¬%), sodium hyaluronate (0.15¬%), N-acetyl-aspartyl-glutamic acid sodium salt (NAAGA, 2.45¬%), sodium hydroxide (for pH adjustment), water for injection.
