Siccaprotect® eye drops are a tear substitute for local application to the eye. The eye drops relieve the feeling of dryness, burning and itching in dry eyes.

Siccaprotect is used for the symptomatic treatment of dryness of the cornea and conjunctiva as a result of tear secretion disorders due to local or systemic (affecting the whole body) underlying diseases as well as in the case of insufficient lid closure and for rewetting hard contact lenses during wear.

If you do not feel better or even worse after a few days, consult your doctor.

Siccaprotect® - the combination of moisturisation and care

Siccaprotect® eye drops contain the ingredient polyvinyl alcohol, which increases the viscosity of the drop solution. The slightly increased viscosity of the eye drops means that they remain on the surface of the eye for longer, thus guaranteeing long-lasting and intensive moisturisation. The additional dexpanthenol contained in Siccaprotect® accelerates the regeneration of damaged corneal and conjunctival tissue and thus helps to speed up the healing of irritated eyes.

Directions for use

Adults: Instil one drop into the conjunctival sac up to 6 times a day. In severe cases, Siccaprotect can also be applied hourly. Distribute the application of Siccaprotect evenly throughout the day.
Use in children: There is no experience in children.
Method of application: For application to the eye. Eye drops should always be applied in such a way that contact of the dropper tip with the eye or facial skin is avoided. Unscrew the protective cap, tilt your head back slightly, pull the lower eyelid slightly away from the eye and apply a drop into the conjunctival sac by pressing lightly on the bottle. Slowly close the eyelids. Close the bottle carefully after use.
Duration of use: The exact duration of treatment depends on the individual clinical picture and is determined by the doctor. In general, treatment with tear substitutes such as Siccaprotect is a long-term therapy.

Ingredients

The active ingredient is dexpanthenol. 1 ml solution contains 30 mg dexpanthenol.
The other ingredients are Polyvinyl alcohol, benzalkonium chloride (preservative), potassium dihydrogen phosphate, potassium monohydrogen phosphate, highly purified water.
