Otodolor® forte ear drops have a decongestant and pain-relieving effect. They effectively relieve earache associated with:
  • irritation and redness of the external ear canals
  • eczematous scabs
Otodolor® forte ear drops have several mechanisms of action that have a positive effect on the healing of earache.
  • Relieve pain
  • Reduce swelling
  • Relieve irritation and redness
  • Are well tolerated
  • Contain natural ingredients such as paprika, camomile and silica
Active ingredients
  • Paprika ( Capsicum annuum) for burning and stinging earache
  • Chamomile ( Matricaria recutita/Chamomilla recutita) for burning earache and inflammation of the ear canal accompanied by a sensation of soreness
  • Meadow pasque flower ( Pulsatilla pratensis) for inflammation and swelling of the ear canal and the outer ear
  • Silica ( Acidum silicicum) for swelling of the outer ear and the ear canal
  • Boric acid ( Acidum boricum) – has a disinfectant effect on the skin and mucous membranes

Possible causes of earache
Earache can be very unpleasant and painful, and often leads to long-term health problems. The infection is usually caused by viruses or bacteria entering the ear. However, it can also be triggered by an allergic reaction or the improper use of cotton buds.

Earache often occurs as part of a cold, or when water gets into the ear, e.g. whilst bathing, swimming or diving.


Dosage form
Drops

Directions for use
Adults: instil approx. 3–5 drops into the ear every 2 to 4 hours.
Once symptoms improve, reduce the frequency of use .

Use in children and adolescents
Adolescents aged 12 years and over: instil approximately 3–5 drops into the ear every 2 to 4 hours.

  • The use of Otodolor forte in children under 12 years of age is not recommended, as there is insufficient data available.
  • For use in the ear.
  • Otodolor forte must not be used for longer than 14 days. If you do not feel any better , or if your symptoms worsen , after 7 days , consult your doctor.

Ingredients
The active ingredients in 10 g of solution are: Capsicum annuum Dil. D4 1 g, Matricaria recutita Dil. D4 1 g, Pulsatilla pratensis Dil. D4 1 g, Acidum silicicum Dil. D12 1 g, Acidum boricum Dil. D2 5 g
The other ingredients are: glycerol 85%, ethanol 86%
1 g = 1.1 ml = 47 drops
Alcohol content: 57.5% by weight
