Alpinamed® cough suppressant syrup, 100 ML

Alpinamed Cough Reliever - Oral Syrup is a herbal medicine for the relief of coughs caused by catarrh of the respiratory tract. Relieves the urge to cough and loosens phlegm.

The active ingredient in this medicine, a dry extract of ivy leaves, dilates the bronchial tubes and loosens viscous secretions (mucus) in the airways. This makes it easier to cough up and reduces the irritation caused by coughing.

For irritating coughs caused by irritation of the mucous membranes in the mouth and throat. Triggered by e.g. viruses, allergens, air conditioning, cigarette smoke.

Directions for use

• Infants (1 - 12 months): 1 ml twice daily.
• Infants (1 - 3 years): 1 ml 3 times a day.
• Children (4 - 11 years): 2 ml 3 to 5 times a day.
• Adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over: 4 ml 3 to 4 times a day.
• Duration of use: The duration of treatment depends on the type and severity of the symptoms. Even in mild cases of cough, Alpinamed Cough Remedy Syrup should be taken for at least one week and treatment should be continued for a further 2 - 3 days after the symptoms have subsided. If you do not feel better or even worse after a week, you should consult a doctor.
• Method of use: Oral use. A dosing aid is included for the exact dosage of Alpinamed Cough Remedy Syrup. Shake well before use. After use, rinse the dosing aid with warm water and dry.

Ingredients

Alpinamed® Cough Remedy Syrup contains a dry extract of medicinal ivy, which dilates the bronchial tubes and leads to the dissolution of viscous secretions (mucus) in the airways. This makes it easier to cough up and reduces the urge to cough.

• The active ingredient is: dry extract of ivy leaves. 100 g contain 0.792 g dry extract of ivy leaves (drug-extract ratio (DEV) = 6 - 7 :1), extractant: ethanol 40 % (m/m).
• The other ingredients are: Fructose, potassium sorbate, maltodextrin, sodium benzoate (E211), povidone K 30, propylene glycol, flavouring agent (cherry juice flavouring), simeticone, purified water.
• Note for diabetics: 1 ml Alpinamed cough suppressant syrup contains 0.02 BE.
