- IDROFLOG is a solution for use on the eye that contains sodium hyaluronate, which spreads evenly on the surface of the eye due to its mucomimetic and pseudoplastic properties and forms a viscoelastic protective film. Through mechanical action ("barrier effect"), IDROFLOG stabilises the tear film and reduces the friction caused by eye movements and blinking.
- It protects the surface of the eye by promoting the healing processes of damage to the cells of the corneal epithelium caused by reduced tear production. This is because when the glands that produce the tear film reduce their normal activity - for various reasons - the corneal surface is more exposed to external influences.
- Over time, these influences lead to a malfunction of the corneal cells and the associated risk of unpleasant inflammation. IDROFLOG protects the corneal surface from external influences and, thanks to the additional effect of hydrocortisone sodium phosphate (a low-dose cortisone with a weak anti-inflammatory effect and a short duration of action), helps to prevent the risk of inflammation recurring.
- Thanks to its special saline composition, IDROFLOG restores the concentrations of important ions such as sodium, potassium and magnesium, which are essential for the health of the ocular surface, and maintains them at physiological levels. This medical device contains no preservatives.
Dosage form
How to use
- Separate a single-dose container from the strip. To open, twist off the tip of the single-dose container.
- Allow 1 to 2 drops to fall into the conjunctival sac from above.
- Idroflog can also be used while wearing contact lenses.
- Notes: IDROFLOG may only be used for a limited period of time and in any case only under medical supervision.
- IDROFLOG should be dosed individually according to your symptoms and the instructions of your ophthalmologist. Generally, 1-2 drops of the solution should be dripped into the conjunctival sac of the eye to be treated 2-4 times a day. The total duration of treatment is 2-6 months, but must be determined by a specialist and under regular medical supervision (a check-up every 30-45 days is recommended).

Idroflog mit Hydrocortison
Habe Idroflog von meinem Augenarzt verordnet bekommen wegen extrem trockener Augen mit ev. Hornhautentzündung. Der Rat meines Arztes ist, die Tr. 6x tgl. anzuwenden, und zwar für 14 Tage. Es ist nicht so, dass eine Kontrolle notwendig wäre, so wie es in der Packungsbeilage steht. Mittlerweile hab ich bereits 3 Packungen getropft, gut verträglich und angenehm. Tropfen sind zu empfehlen, wenn Arzt dazu rät ‼️‼️
