The medicinal mushroom Chaga (Inonotus obliquus) grows mainly on birch trees in cold regions such as Russia, Canada and Scandinavia. Due to its slate-like, iridescent outer texture, it is also known as the slate iridescent mushroom.

Chaga has long been valued for its beneficial properties, which are due to its high content of bioactive substances such as polysaccharides, beta-glucans, betulinic acid and antioxidants.

We attach great importance to the quality, purity and sustainability of our organic chaga extract. We only use mushroom extract from controlled organic cultivation, which has a particularly high content of polysaccharides (30%), beta-glucans (10%) and triterpenes (2%).

The ideal partner for chaga is vitamin C. It contributes to the normal function of the immune system and to normal collagen formation, which is important for the normal function of the skin. Its role in protecting cells - including the cells in the intestine - from oxidative stress is also important.

The vitamin C comes from organically grown amla berries. Amla, also known as Indian gooseberry (Phyllanthus emblica), is one of the richest natural sources of vitamin C with a high natural content of vitamin C, polyphenols, flavonoids and antioxidants. Our BIO Amla extract is standardised to 50% vitamin C and, according to current research, is particularly characterised by its sustained bioavailability and good tolerability - it is a suitable source of vitamin C for people with a sensitive stomach or histamine sensitivity.
