The medicinal mushroom Chaga (Inonotus obliquus) grows predominantly on birch trees in cold regions such as Russia, Canada and Scandinavia. Due to its slate-like, iridescent outer appearance, it is also known as the slate-coloured chaga.

Chaga has long been valued for its beneficial properties, which are attributable to its high content of bioactive substances such as polysaccharides, beta-glucans, betulinic acid and antioxidants.

With our organic chaga extract, we place the utmost importance on quality, purity and sustainability. We use only mushroom extract from certified organic cultivation, which boasts a particularly high content of polysaccharides (30%), beta-glucans (10%) and triterpenes (2%).

Vitamin C is the ideal partner for chaga. It contributes to the normal function of the immune system and to normal collagen formation, which is important for the normal function of the skin. It also plays a vital role in protecting cells – including those in the gut – from oxidative stress.

The vitamin C is derived from organically grown amla berries. Amla, also known as Indian gooseberry (Phyllanthus emblica), is one of the richest natural sources of vitamin C, with a high natural content of vitamin C, polyphenols, flavonoids and antioxidants. Our organic amla extract is standardised to 50% vitamin C and, according to current research, is characterised in particular by its sustained bioavailability and good tolerability – it is a suitable source of vitamin C for people with a sensitive stomach or histamine sensitivity.
