Hericium, also known as hedgehog's spikenard (Hericium erinaceus), is a medicinal mushroom that is mainly found in the temperate forests of Asia, Europe and North America. It has been highly valued for centuries in traditional Chinese dietetics due to its harmonising properties.

Hericium contains important bioactive substances such as polysaccharides, beta-glucans and hericenones. Our high-quality mushroom extract is available in certified organic quality, is produced according to criteria of the highest purity and sustainability and is standardised to a content of 30% polysaccharides and 20% beta-glucans.

Vitamin C is the ideal supplement for the medicinal mushroom Hericium and plays an important role in protecting cells, including the cells in the intestine, from oxidative stress. Vitamin C also supports the normal function of the nervous and immune systems.

The vitamin C comes from organically grown amla berries. Amla, also known as Indian gooseberry (Phyllanthus emblica), is one of the richest natural sources of vitamin C with a high natural content of vitamin C, polyphenols, flavonoids and antioxidants. Our BIO Amla extract is standardised to 50% vitamin C and, according to current research, is particularly characterised by its sustained bioavailability and good tolerability - it is a suitable source of vitamin C for people with a sensitive stomach or histamine sensitivity.
