Echinacea pallida extract ECHINOSHIELD®

Echinacea pallida extract Echinoshield® is a standardised extract exclusively patented by Unifarco with a short and controlled supply chain. The plants, organically grown in Italy, are processed using an innovative extraction process that ensures the preservation of active ingredients such as echinacosides and polysaccharides and a low content of alkylamides. Echinoshield® effectively supports the body's natural defences, improving resistance to seasonal illnesses and shortening the duration of flu and cold symptoms. The triple standardisation of the extract ensures its high quality and makes it a reliable ingredient for dietary supplements to strengthen the immune system.

The Echinacea pallida extract ECHINOSHIELD® is produced from plants grown in Italy in a purely organic way or in areas undergoing conversion to organic farming. The extraction method developed in our laboratory for extracts provides for two phases: a hydroalcoholic one to extract the most concentrated echinacoside fraction and an aqueous one rich in polysaccharides. The polysaccharide portion serves as a carrier for its technological properties. The two extracts are then mixed in optimal proportions to obtain triple standardisation:

• Echinacoside > 2 %;
• Total polysaccharides ≥ 30 %, of which polysaccharides expressed as dextran (PM>12000) ≥ 5 %.

Larch arabinogalactan Fiberaid™

• FiberAid™ is a soluble dietary fibre. It consists of high-quality larch arabinogalactan and is produced by the Swiss company Lonza from the wood of the plant using an extraction process in which only water is used as a solvent. Larch arabinogalactan is not actually a single substance, but a mixture of various water-soluble arabinogalactans with molecular weights of between 15,000 and 60,000 Da.

Elderberry

• The fruits of the black elderberry (Sambucus nigra) are small, round, black-violet berries whose concentrated juice contains many phenolic compounds (flavonols and anthocyanins). The elderberry juice gives the product a pleasant flavour.

Blackcurrant

• Blackcurrant (Ribes nigrum L.) is an undergrowth plant whose berries are used in the food and confectionery industry. Its fruits are rich in anthocyanins, flavonoids, procyanidins and vitamins.

Zinc

• Zinc is an essential element in the diet. It has an antioxidant effect and contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system and the maintenance of normal vision.

Selenium

• Selenium is an essential trace element found in food and animal feed. It supports the body's own defences and contributes to protection against oxidative stress. It is also involved in the regulation of the thyroid hormone and plays an important role in reducing oxidative stress in the cells.

Vitamins of the B group

Directions for use

• Adults: Approx. one measuring cup (7 ml) once a day.
• Children (from 3 years): Half a measuring cup (5 ml) once a day, preferablydiluted in half a glass of water.
• Shake before use. Any sediment is due to natural ingredients. This does not affect the quality of the product. With measuring cup.
• Advice: Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Keep out of the reach of small children. Food supplements are not a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.
• Storage: Store in a cool, dry place, protected from local heat and sunlight and preferably at a temperature below 25°C. The best-before date only applies if the packaging is unopened and stored correctly.
