Chlorhexidine is a substance with proven disinfectant, antibacterial and antifungal properties. It has been shown to keep the mouth free from deposits and to maintain the gums and skin folds in good condition. It is particularly effective in the oral cavity and, unlike other substances, chlorhexidine binds to proteins and tooth enamel and is slowly released over the following 24 hours. 

Dentihex has a special paste formulation that allows the product to be easily applied and accepted by the animals, whilst adhering to the oral mucosa and teeth. With regular use of Dentihex, the build-up of tartar and plaque can be slowed down or even prevented, thereby maintaining a healthy oral environment.

Directions for use

• When administering directly into the mouth, it is recommended to attach the enclosed applicator to the tube. This allows easier access to the rear gums. Externally, the paste should be spread thoroughly over the affected area using a clean finger. In the mouth, the paste is spread over the animal’s tongue. To achieve the best results when used in the oral cavity, Dentihex should be administered after a meal. Dentihex can be administered daily or weekly, as required.
• Notes: Dentihex is very well tolerated. In very rare cases, it may cause excessive salivation in cats. With prolonged use, Dentihex may cause the teeth to become discoloured. Your vet can remove this discolouration very easily using ultrasound. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Harmful to aquatic organisms with long-lasting effects. Avoid release into the environment.
