- Probiotics complex: The skin is colonised by millions of bacteria. These form the skin flora and live in a delicate balance with each other. If this balance is lost, many skin problems can arise. Pimples, oily skin and blemishes lead to a greatly increased proliferation of potentially harmful microorganisms. The skin must therefore defend itself against bacterial attacks. To do this, it has developed a system that is based on recognising the bacteria themselves. To combat the attack by germs, the skin utilises the effect of peptide chains (defensins), which adhere to the bacterial membrane and thus kill the cell. The probiotic complex is obtained through a fermentation process that starts with the probiotic Lactobacillus plantarum and stimulates the production of ß-defensin 2. This restores the balance of the skin flora.
- Niacinamide: Niacinamide, an amide of vitamin B3, is one of the most effective and versatile cosmetic ingredients, which is particularly suitable for the care of blemished skin with spots. Niacinamide is an excellent ally for blemished skin. It regulates sebum production and has an important sebostatic effect, which has been proven in various clinical studies. It helps to control excess sebum and minimise the appearance of blemishes and spots. In addition, it reduces redness and irritation and is also effective against hyperpigmentation, which is often associated with skin inflammation. Finally, it strengthens the skin barrier by supporting the synthesis of ceramides, sphingolipids, cholesterol and fatty acids.
