- Probiotics complex: The skin is colonised by millions of bacteria. These form the skin flora and live in a delicate balance with each other. If this balance is lost, many skin problems can arise. Pimples, oily skin and blemishes lead to a greatly increased proliferation of potentially harmful microorganisms. The skin must therefore defend itself against bacterial attacks. To do this, it has developed a system that is based on recognising the bacteria themselves. To combat the attack by germs, the skin utilises the effect of peptide chains (defensins), which adhere to the bacterial membrane and thus kill the cell. The probiotic complex is obtained through a fermentation process that starts with the probiotic Lactobacillus Plantarum and stimulates the production of ß-defensin 2. This restores the balance of the skin flora.

It normalises the skin's moisture content and removes impurities and excess sebum that accumulates during the day. Products that are too aggressive should be avoided at all costs, as although they are deeply effective at removing sebum, they increase sebum production in the long term (rebound effect). The special sulphate-free mixture of substances in the Clarifying Cleansing Gel contains the latest generation of glycosidic surfactants, which are obtained from renewable sources and combine excellent cleansing properties with high skin compatibility.
