RÖSCH & HANDEL glycerine suppositories are a medical product for natural stool regulation and easy bowel movements, have a gentle laxative effect and are gentle on the intestinal flora.

To be used, for example, for haemorrhoidal disorders, for prolonged bedriddenness, for children with constipation or after operations, when straining during bowel movements should be avoided.

Effect of glycerine suppositories

Glycerine suppositories have a physical water-attracting effect and therefore stimulate the mucous membrane of the rectum to release water, making the thickened contents lubricious.

How to use

The suppository is gently inserted into the anus. Unless otherwise prescribed, it is best to insert it in the morning shortly before getting up. After inserting the suppository, you should hold the stool for a while to allow sufficient softening of the hardened faecal masses to take place.
The effect sets in after approx. 15-60 minutes.
Rösch glycerine suppositories can be used, for example, for haemorrhoidal disorders, prolonged bed rest, children with constipation or after operations, when straining to defecate should be avoided.

Dosage:

Infants and young children (28 days to 23 months): 1 suppository of 1g
Children from 2 years, adolescents and adults: 1 suppository of 2g
Adults (from 18 years) in persistent cases: 1 suppository of 3g

Notes: The dosage (1g suppository) should be observed, especially in infants and small children, and in the event of persistent bowel disorders, the focus should always be on clarifying the cause. No restrictions on use have been reported to date. However, it is not recommended to use the treatment regularly over a longer period of time without having the causes of the constipation clarified by a doctor. In cases of chronic constipation, a natural bowel regulation with a fibre-rich diet (fruit, vegetables) and sufficient fluid intake should also be attempted.
