High dosage, good tolerability: Lefax® intens

Lefax® intens is the highest-dose Lefax® product and is therefore particularly helpful for more severe symptoms. The area of application includes the relief and treatment of gas-related gastrointestinal complaints such as flatulence (meteorism), bloating, cramp-like abdominal pain or belching. It is also used in preparation for diagnostic examinations in the abdominal area, for example before an X-ray examination or endoscopy.

Despite its high dosage of 250 milligrams per single dose, Lefax® intens is very well tolerated as it has a purely physical effect and is not absorbed by the body: The active ingredient simeticone dissolves the gas bubbles that form during digestion and cause the unpleasant discomfort. Free gas is produced, which is then excreted by the body.

There is the right dosage form for everyone among the Lefax® intens products:

Lefax® intens liquid capsule - for all those who prefer a flavourless dosage form. Without colourings and flavourings.
Lefax® intens Lemon Fresh is a fast-dissolving micro-granulate. It dissolves in the mouth in seconds and tastes pleasantly fresh like lemon. In the practical sachet, Lefax® intens Lemon Fresh can be taken without water and is therefore ideal for on the go.

How to use

The flavourless version of Lefax® intens should be taken whole with sufficient liquid, preferably a large glass of water. Swallow the liquid capsule with or after meals, if necessary also before going to bed.

Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, the following dosages apply:

For gas-related gastrointestinal complaints

Age | Adults and adolescents aged 14 years and over
Single dose | 1 softgel (corresponding to 250 mg simeticone)
Total daily dose | 4 soft capsules (corresponding to 1000 mg simeticone)

In preparation for imaging examinations

Age | Adults and adolescents aged 14 and over
the day before the examination | 1-2 softgels (corresponding to 250 to 500 mg simeticone)
on the morning of the examination | 1 softgel (corresponding to 250 mg simeticone)Ingredients
