REGAINE® Men's Foam contains minoxidil. Minoxidil causes hair regrowth and stabilises the course of hair loss in receding hairlines and in the tonsure area of the scalp in men by revitalising the hair follicles.

REGAINE® Men's Foam is used to treat men with congenital hair loss (androgenetic alopecia). The product is intended for external use on the scalp only.

REGAINE® Men's Foam stabilises the progression of congenital hair loss (androgenetic alopecia) in the tonsure area of the scalp in men aged 21 - 49 years. The treatment can thus counteract the progression of congenital hair loss. The onset and extent may vary from individual to individual and cannot be predicted.

How to use

This foam is only intended for use on the normal healthy scalp. You should NOT use REGAINE® Men's Foam if the scalp is inflamed, infected, irritated or painful. You must NOT apply the product to other parts of the body. Apply the foam directly to the scalp.

Avoid accidental contact with the eyes. If foam gets into the eyes, rinse the eyes immediately with plenty of cold tap water.

Before applying the foam:

• Hair and scalp should be dry.

Application of the foam:

• Apply a dose of 1 g (equivalent to the volume of half a protective cap) 2 times a day to the affected areas on the scalp.
• To open the container, align the arrows on the container and the protective cap. Then remove the protective cap.
• The foam may melt quickly when it comes into contact with your warm skin.
• If your fingers are warm, rinse them with cold water first. Dry your fingers carefully before applying the foam.
• Hold the container with the spray head vertically downwards and press the spray head to spray the foam onto your fingertips. The amount of foam should always correspond to the volume of half a protective cap (= 1 g foam).
• Spread the foam over the affected areas of the scalp with your fingertips and massage it in gently. Wash your hands immediately after applying the foam.
• Close the can after each application by replacing the protective cap on the container.

Duration of use of Regaine 5 % foam:

• It takes time for the hair to grow back. With twice daily application, an effect can occur after 2 months. In some men, it has been observed that the product had to be used for at least 4 months before an effect was recognisable.

Ingredients

The active ingredient is minoxidil. 1 g of foam for application to the scalp contains 50 mg minoxidil (5 %). The other ingredients are anhydrous ethanol, purified water, butylhydroxytoluene (E321), lactic acid, anhydrous citric acid, glycerol, cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, polysorbate 60 and propane/butane/isobutane (propellant gas).
