REGAINE® Men’s Foam stabilises the progression of hereditary hair loss (androgenetic alopecia) in the crown area of the scalp in men aged 21–49. The treatment can thus counteract the progression of hereditary hair loss. The onset and extent may vary from person to person and cannot be predicted.

Directions for use

This foam is intended for use on normal, healthy scalp only. You should NOT use REGAINE® Men’s Foam if your scalp is inflamed, infected, irritated or painful. You must NOT apply the medicine to other parts of the body. Apply the foam directly to the scalp. 

Avoid accidental contact with the eyes. If the foam gets into your eyes, rinse them immediately with plenty of cold tap water. 

Beforeapplying the foam:

• Your hair and scalp should be dry. 

How to use the foam:

• Apply a dose of 1 g (equivalent to half a protective cap) to the affected areas of the scalp twice daily. 
• To open the container, align the arrows on the container and the protective cap so that they are in line with each other. Then remove the protective cap.
• The foam may melt quickly when it comes into contact with your warm skin. 
• If your fingers are warm, rinse them with cold water first. Dry your fingers thoroughly before applying the foam. 
• Hold the container with the spray nozzle pointing vertically downwards, and press the spray nozzle to dispense the foam onto your fingertips. The amount of foam should always be equivalent to half a protective cap (= 1 g of foam). 
• Spread the foam over the affected areas of the scalp using your fingertips, and massage it in gently. Wash your hands immediately after applying the foam. 
• Close the can after each use by replacing the protective cap on the container. 

Duration of treatment with Regaine 5% foam:

• It takes time for hair to grow back. When used twice daily, an effect may become apparent after 2 months. In some men, it has been observed that the medicine had to be used for at least 4 months before any effect was noticeable.

Ingredients

The active ingredient is minoxidil. 1 g of foam for application to the scalp contains 50 mg of minoxidil (5%). The other ingredients are anhydrous ethanol, purified water, butylhydroxytoluene (E321), lactic acid, anhydrous citric acid, glycerol, cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, polysorbate 60 and propane/butane/isobutane (propellant).
