Panzynorm® film-coated tablets are suitable for the dietary treatment of digestive problems caused by enzyme deficiency. Panzynorm consists primarily of high-quality pancreatin.

What is Panzynorm®?

Panzynorm® consists primarily of high-quality pancreatin. Pancreatin contains various enzymatically active substances - the digestive enzymes. In Panzynorm® the sensitive enzymes are protected from stomach acid by a coating. This ensures that the enzymes reach the intestine in an active state.

Pancreatin is obtained from the pancreas of pigs.

What do digestive enzymes do?

Digestive enzymes break down the food we eat into its individual components. This means that they break down long-chain molecules into simpler compounds.

The breakdown of food begins in the mouth with enzymes contained in saliva and continues in the stomach and intestines. The enzymes produced by the pancreas play an important role in this process. These are mainly lipases, proteases and amylases.

• Lipases break down dietary fats and thus play a major role in fat digestion.
• Proteases break down proteins (egg whites).
• Amylases break down carbohydrates.

How to use

• If required, take Panzynorm® 3 times a day, 1 film-coated tablet at mealtimes, unchewed, with liquid.
• Do not exceed the recommended daily intake.
