- As we experience our environment, nerve signals constantly flow through our body. This enables us to perceive the world around us and interact with it. We usually only realise how elementary these signals are when they are disrupted.
- Nerve cells are the "telephone lines" in our body through which signals are received and transmitted. In order to be able to cope with the numerous and complex tasks, part of the nervous system has to regenerate. This is possible in the peripheral nervous system, i.e. the nervous system that connects our brain with our arms and legs.
- The nervous system is a multitasking talent: it can simultaneously record, process, store and transmit information. Up to 100 billion nerve cells, which are networked with each other, are responsible for this. In total, the length of all the nerve tracts of an adult human being is around 768,000 kilometres, which corresponds to the distance from the earth to the moon.
- The nerves control the entire body, which must constantly adapt to the changing outside world. Signal transmission is very fast and can reach a maximum speed of up to 540 kilometres per hour.
- In order for the peripheral nervous system to work at the right speed and complexity, it is important that the peripheral nerves regenerate.
- The normal functioning of the nervous system also includes the regeneration of the peripheral nervous system.
- For nerve regeneration, cell fragments of the damaged nerve are first removed before it can grow again and the axon can be rebuilt.
- Nerve regeneration is important throughout the entire body. The neck and back, legs, feet and hands are particularly relevant for everyday life.
- As micronutrients are particularly important for the regeneration and normal function of the nervous system, a sufficient supply of vitamin B1, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, folic acid and magnesium is necessary.
- The micronutrients complement each other in their function. It therefore makes sense to take them in a balanced combination. Orthomol Neuroprotect is based on scientific findings and contains micronutrients that are required for the normal function of the nervous system.
- Vitamin B1, vitamin B6, vitamin B12 and folic acid
- magnesium
- Uridine monophosphate (UMP) and cytidine monophosphate (CMP)
