Bones - they are durable and yet capable of regeneration, firm and elastic at the same time. Bones owe these properties to their construction from two components: a connective tissue base made of certain proteins (collagen) and calcium salts, i.e. mineral compounds, embedded in it.

What our bones need

Our bones do hard work every day - bone work. We should therefore give them special attention and support. Both in youth and in later years, an adequate supply of calcium and other micronutrients plays a major role in bone health. Vitamin D is needed to utilise calcium from food. Certain foods such as oily fish or mushrooms contain particularly high levels of vitamin D. However, the body produces a large proportion of the vitamin itself if it receives sufficient sunlight. Plenty of exercise in the fresh air and a bone-healthy diet have an effect on the strength and resilience of bones well into old age.

In addition to the important mineral calcium in combination with vitamin D, a number of other micronutrients are necessary for bone metabolism. Orthomol Osteo is a dietary supplement.

Vitamin D contributes to the normal absorption and utilisation of calcium. Calcium is required for the maintenance of normal bones.
Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for normal bone function.
Vitamin C, vitamin K and vitamin D as well as zinc and manganese contribute to the maintenance of normal bones.

Directions

Stir the contents of one sachet (= daily portion) into approx. 150 - 200 ml of still water or fruit juice and take with or after a meal.

Ingredients: dextrose, potassium citrate, acidifier citric acid, calcium carbonate, maltodextrin, L-ascorbic acid, flavouring, zinc gluconate, sweetener sodium cyclamate, anti-caking agent silicon dioxide, manganese sulphate, pyridoxine hydrochloride, copper sulphate, sweetener sodium saccharin, sodium fluoride, pteroylmonoglutamic acid, phylloquinone, cholecalciferol, cyanocobalamin.
