How to use
- Weeks 1 to 6 Apply 1 or 2 sprays when you would normally smoke a cigarette or when you have a craving to smoke. Apply one spray first. If this does not reduce your craving within a few minutes, apply the second spray. If 2 sprays are required, 2 sprays can be used consecutively on subsequent applications. Most smokers need 1 or 2 sprays every 30 to 60 minutes. For example, if you smoke 15 cigarettes a day, you should apply 1 or 2 sprays at least 15 times during the day. Do not use more than 2 sprays in a row or 4 sprays per hour over 16 hours. Over a 24-hour period, the maximum dose is 64 sprays in any 16-hour period.
- Weeks 7 to 9 Start to reduce the number of sprays per day. By the end of week 9 you should only be using HALF the average number of sprays per day used in step I.
- Weeks 10 to 12 Continue to reduce the number of sprays per day so that by week 12 you are using no more than 4 sprays per day. When you have reduced the application to 2 to 4 sprays per day, you should stop using Nicorette Fruit & Mint Spray.
- Push the button downwards with your thumb until it can be easily pressed inwards. Do not apply too much pressure.
- Push the button upwards while holding it down until the spray head is pushed out. The spray is now unlocked.
- Hold the spray with the opening very close to your open mouth.
- The spray should be sprayed into the oral cavity or into the lateral cheek pouch without swallowing, inhaling, wetting the lips, eating or drinking.
- Press the spray head down firmly once from above.
- Repeat this process a second time if your desire to smoke does not diminish within a few minutes.
- Then close the spray again.
Ingredients
- The active ingredient is nicotine. One spray releases 1 mg of nicotine.
- The other ingredients are Propylene glycol (E1520), anhydrous ethanol, trometamol, poloxamer (407), glycerol (E422), sodium hydrogen carbonate, levomenthol, mint flavouring, fresh flavouring, sucralose, acesulfame potassium, butylated hydroxytoluene (E321), hydrochloric acid (for pH adjustment) and purified water.
