- Mucolaxx® Cough Loosener junior is used to loosen mucus stuck in the upper airways and make it easier to cough up. Mucus is a nutrient medium for bacteria, and a mucous cough increases the risk of microbial infections. For this reason, mucus clearance and the removal of excess mucus secretions have top priority for sustainable treatment.
- Mucolaxx® Cough Loosener junior forms an osmotically active film that mechanically attracts hypotonic fluid from deeper throat and pharynx areas. The resulting flow of fluid loosens the mucus in the throat and pharynx and removes it, including bacteria, viruses and other dead cell particles.
- Dissolves stuck mucus - hydration and liquefaction of thick mucus secretions in the throat and pharynx

Dosage form
Use for
- Infants from 1 to 3 years: 5 ml of Mucolaxx® Cough Remedy junior twice daily
- Children from 4 to 9 years: 10 ml of Mucolaxx® Cough Remedy junior twice daily
- Adolescents from 10 to 17 years: 10 ml of Mucolaxx® Cough Remedy junior 3 times a day
- Method of administration: Please use the enclosed measuring cup to take Mucolaxx® Cough Solution junior. It is recommended to take Mucolaxx® Cough Remedy junior in the morning, at midday and in the evening. Swallow slowly to optimise wetting of the throat and pharyngeal mucosa. Please shake the bottle before using Mucolaxx® Cough Remedy junior.
- Joint use with other products: Joint use with other products, such as cold remedies, is possible. Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are using medication (including self-purchased medication).
- Duration of use: Regular use of Mucolaxx® Cough Remedy Junior is crucial for rapid treatment success. Due to its good tolerability, Mucolaxx® Cough Remedy junior can be used over a longer period of time if necessary. In general, the duration of treatment should be at least 5 days. For lasting treatment success, it is advisable to continue treatment with Mucolaxx® Cough Remedy junior for a few days after the symptoms have subsided.
