Mastu® Ointment, 30 G

Mastu® Ointment is a medical product for use in haemorrhoids. The ointment relieves symptoms such as irritation, itching, burning and oozing that often occur in connection with haemorrhoidal disease and promotes wound healing.

When and how should you use Mastu® Ointment?

Apply a sufficient amount of Mastu® Ointment in and/or around the anus 2-3 times a day as required. Before use, the skin should be cleaned with warm water and a soft cloth (without soap). You can apply Mastu® Ointment with your finger or with the enclosed applicator. To do this, twist the applicator onto the tube and insert it into the anus. Then press carefully on the tube until the desired amount of ointment has been applied. Then clean the applicator by unscrewing it and rinsing it under warm water. Close the tube with the cap to prevent it from drying out. For use in haemorrhoids Mastu® Ointment should not be used for more than 30 days.

How to use

• Mastu® Ointment can be applied both externally and inside the anus. Mastu® Ointment contains a practical ointment applicator that makes it easier to apply the ointment, especially inside the anus, and ensures optimum distribution of the ointment.
• Notes: Mastu® Ointment must not be used if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to any of the ingredients of the preparation. You should not use Mastu® Ointment together with other creams or ointments for use in the anal area or medications to be inserted rectally (e.g. suppositories). Remove any residues of other ointments or creams in the anal area before applying Mastu® Ointment. You should also remove any residues of Mastu® Ointment before applying other creams or ointments to the anal area. If Mastu® Ointment and condoms are used at the same time, this may reduce the tear resistance and thus impair the safety of the condoms.
• Please note: If you have or suspect blood in your stool or if you have a fever or pain at the same time, you should not use Mastu® Ointment and consult your doctor. Please also talk to your doctor if you have persistent complaints of haemorrhoids. The product is intended exclusively for use in the anal area and must not be ingested

Composition: Basic bismuth gallate, isopropyl palmitate, low-viscosity paraffin, polyethylene wax, sorbitan sesquioleate, sorbitol solution 70%, titanium dioxide (E171), purified water, lanolin.
