The HyalOne 60 mg/4 ml pre-filled syringe is a medical device indicated for the treatment of osteoarthritis of the knee (gonarthrosis) and osteoarthritis of the hip (coxarthrosis).
- The ideal substitute: The sodium hyaluronate contained in Hyalone® is very similar to the body’s own hyaluronic acid, of which there is usually too little in cases of osteoarthritis.
- Regardless of age and weight: Hyalone® improves all clinical parameters in coxarthrosis across all age groups.1
- Buying time before hip surgery: Patients with hip osteoarthritis can use Hyalone® to significantly delay the need for a hip replacement.2
- Single-dose treatment Hyalone® remains effectivefor six months aftera single dose – making it ideal for patients under time pressure, those with a fear of injections or those prone to bleeding.

- Pain and the improvement of joint function in patients with degenerative or mechanical joint changes in the hip and knee.
- Persistent pain following initial failure of analgesics or the failure or intolerance of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
- Hyalone® contains sodium hyaluronate, a natural, high-molecular-weight (1500–2000 kDa) hyaluronic acid that is very similar to physiological hyaluronic acid (HA).
- The degenerative and inflammatory processes occurring in osteoarthritis alter both the quantity of HA (decrease in concentration) and the HA quality (decrease in molecular weight) in the synovial fluid, and progressively destroy the surface layer of the articular cartilage.
- To counteract these processes, the treatment of osteoarthritis using intra-articular viscosupplementation with exogenous hyaluronic acid was developed. The sodium hyaluronate in Hyalone®️ provides viscosupplementation, thereby improving the mechanics of joint function, whilst the hyaluronic acid acts as a shock absorber and lubricant.5

Dosage form
Usage
- Hyalone® is intended for single use as an injection. If necessary, a further injection may be administered at six-month intervals.
- Notes: The product must only be administered by qualified doctors.

Positive Wirkung ist ca. 3 Wochen nach Injektion spürbar. Die Wirkung hält jedoch nur etwa 3 Monate an. Erstattung des Kaufpreises wird bei Privatpatienten unterschiedlich gehandhabt: Während die private Krankenkasse ihren quotalen Anteil bezahlt, verweigert die Beamten-Beihilfestelle in Deutschland die Beihilfezahlung. Auf alle Fälle ist dieses Medikament bei "onlineapo"in Österreich um fast die Hälfte billiger als in einer deutschen örtlichen Apotheke.
