Helopanflat Coated Tablets are a medicinal product for the treatment of flatulence and digestive disorders in the stomach, intestines, pancreas, liver and gall bladder, with the active ingredients pancreatin and simeticone.

The simeticone contained in Helopanflat coated tablets acts exclusively locally in the intestine and destroys the individual bubbles of this inert foam cushion by reducing the surface tension. This allows the released gases to be reabsorbed by the intestinal mucosa or to pass naturally.

In many cases, indigestion and flatulence are associated with a weakness of the proteins that are important for digestion, the so-called enzymes. Helopanflat coated tablets therefore contain pancreatin (an enzyme mixture obtained from the pancreas of pigs) in addition to simeticone. Pancreatin unfolds its effect in the duodenum and physiologically breaks down the proteins, fats and carbohydrates supplied with food. This is intended to largely prevent the formation of new gases from fermentation and putrefaction processes as a result of impaired digestion (so-called maldigestion).

Disturbed digestive processes often lead to excessive gas formation and accumulation in the intestine, resulting in a sluggish, fine-bubble foam that considerably restricts the absorption of the gases formed through the intestinal wall.

Taking Helopanflat Coated Tablets therefore leads to rapid relief from symptoms and eliminates the feeling of tightness in the distended abdomen.

How to use

If required, take 2 tablets up to four times a day shortly after meals without chewing with a little liquid. If more is required, the dose can be increased to 2 coated tablets up to six times a day. The maximum dose of 12 dragees per day must not be exceeded.
Use in children and adolescents Children aged 6 years and over: If required, take 1 coated tablet up to three times a day shortly after meals. If more is required, the dose can be increased to 2 coated tablets. However, the maximum dose of 6 coated tablets per day must not be exceeded.
Adolescents aged 12 years and over: 2 coated tablets every 6 hours if required. This corresponds to a total of 8 coated tablets. However, the maximum dose of 12 coated tablets per day must not be exceeded.
The duration of use depends on the type and course of the symptoms. Helopanflat coated tablets can also be taken over a longer period of time. If there is no improvement or even a deterioration after 14 days, consult your doctor.

Ingredients

The active ingredients are: Pancreatin and simeticone. 1 coated tablet contains: pancreatin with at least 240 protease units, at least 3200 amylase units and at least 3600 lipase units according to Ph.Eur. 135.0 mg, simeticone 42.0 mg.
The other ingredients are: microcrystalline cellulose, lactose monohydrate, hypromellose phthalate, gum arabic, talc, titanium dioxide (E-171), oryzae amylum, sucrose, povidone, quinoline yellow (E 104), cochineal red A (E 124) and sodium chloride.
