HYLO-VISION® SafeDrop® Lipocur® eye drops are used for intensive moisturisation in all forms of dry eye, including lipid deficiency. Relieves symptoms, regenerates and rebuilds the tear film. Natural protection through taurine.
- for pronounced dry eye symptoms and burning eyes
- for watery eyes ("paradoxical dry eye")

- Hylo-Vision® SafeDrop® Lipocur® is a sterile, phosphate-free wetting agent in the innovative SafeDrop® system, a preservative-free multi-dose container co-developed by OmniVision . It can be optimally applied withthe help of the practical wide finger rest.
- Hylo-Vision® SafeDrop® Lipocur® contains hyaluronic acid, glycerol, lipids and taurine.
- Hylo-Vision® SafeDrop® Lipocur® supports all three layers of the tear film: the aqueous layer (thanks to hyaluronic acid and glycerol), the lipid layer (thanks to the lipids in castor oil) and the mucin layer (thanks to the mucoadhesive properties of hyaluronic acid).
- Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance that alsooccurs in the structures of the human eye and in the tear film , making it particularly well tolerated. It is characterised by a high water-binding capacity and is viscoelastic. Hyaluronic acid also adheres well to the surface of the eye (mucoadhesive properties) and therefore increases the retention time.
- Glycerol is also an endogenous substance and an additional moisturising factor. Thanks to these moisture-retaining and moisturising properties, glycerol, in addition to hyaluronic acid, stabilises the aqueous layer of the tear film. Hylo-Vision® SafeDrop® Lipocur® thus moisturises, moistens and protects the surface of the eye and ensures an even, stable film of moisture on the cornea and conjunctiva.
- The lipids (triglycerides) in castor oil supplement the lipid layer of the tear film, stabilising it and reducing evaporation.
- Taurine, another endogenous compound, is the most common amino acid that occurs physiologically in the tear film and in various tissues in the eye, e.g. in the cornea, lens, retina and vitreous humour. Taurine has osmoregulatory properties, is absorbed into the cells and penetrates deeply. Taurine helps torestore the osmotic balance that is disturbed in dry eye and protects the cells on the surface of the eye from drying out and oxidative stress.
- In dry eye therapy, Hylo-Vision® SafeDrop® Lipocur® thus offers moisturisation & evaporation protection & osmoregulation thanks to the triple combination of moisturisers (hyaluronic acid & glycerol), lipids and the body's own taurine.
- It can be used for all forms of dry eye , both when there is insufficient production of tear fluid (hyposecretory form) and when there is excessive evaporation of the tear film due to a lack of lipids (hyperevaporative form). The eye drops are suitable for dry, burning and watery eyes ("paradoxical dry eye"). They provide moisture, improve the quality of the tear film and protect the surface of the eye.
- Hylo-Vision® SafeDrop® Lipocur® alleviates the symptoms, regenerates and rebuilds the tear film. It offers natural protection through taurine.
- Hylo-Vision® SafeDrop® Lipocur® is suitable for wetting hard and soft contact lenses. This significantly improves thewearing comfort of contact lenses.
Dosage form
How to use
- Use Hylo-Vision® SafeDrop® Lipocur® as required or as directed by your ophthalmologist.
- Hylo-Vision® SafeDrop® Lipocur® is suitable for long-term use , however - as with all conditions - you should consult an ophthalmologist if your symptoms persist .
- For external use only.
- Before the first application , please document the expiry date in the space provided on the bottle label. Wash your hands and remove the protective cap before each application.
- Before using the SafeDrop® bottle for the first time, please apply several pressure movements until the first drop is produced. Hold the bottle upside down as shown in the illustration . Please avoid any contact of the dropper tip with your fingers and eyes.
- Hold the bottle as shown in the picture, making sure that your thumb rests on the wide, non-slip, round finger rest.
- Now lean your head back slightly (neck position) and pull the lower eyelid slightly away from the eye with your free hand . Instil one to two drops of Hylo-Vision® SafeDrop® Lipocur® into the conjunctival sac of each eye by pressing the pump mechanism once or twice. Make sure that the bottle is held vertically . Close your eyes slowly so that Hylo-Vision® SafeDrop® Lipocur® canspread evenly over the surface of the eye .
