Dr W. Gruber's® Selenium Combination Chelate is a dietary supplement with selenium, vitamins A, C and E. The combination of these vital substances contributes to the normal function of the immune system and protects the cells from oxidative stress. Selenium also contributes to normal thyroid function.
- The combination of selenium and vitamins A and C therefore makes sense, as these vital substances contribute to the normal function of the immune system and, in conjunction with vitamin E, protect the cells from oxidative stress as an antioxidant. Selenium is also an important component of thyroid hormones.
- Selenium and vitamin A in combination with zinc contribute to the maintenance of normal hair, nails and skin as well as to normal sperm production.
- Vitamin A is important for the maintenance of vision and normal mucous membranes, selenium for thyroid function.
- Vitamin C contributes to the necessary collagen formation for the function of blood vessels, bones and cartilage, gums and teeth and the skin and also to the regeneration of the reduced form of vitamin E.
- Vitamin C increases iron absorption, vitamin A contributes to normal iron metabolism, regulates energy metabolism, the function of the nervous system and psychological functions*.
- Vitamin C reduces tiredness and fatigue.
