Lime tree (Flos Tiliae)
- The lime tree is a stately tree that can grow up to 30 metres tall and live for several hundred years. The greenish-yellow flowers exude a pleasant fragrance. The flavour is slightly sweet and slimy. The flowers are used medicinally.
- Effect: Lime blossom activates the body's own defences, which means that colds subside more quickly. They are used for sweating cures (note: always consult your doctor), to relieve the urge to cough in the case of catarrh of the respiratory tract and for colds.

Directions for use
- Adults, adolescents and children over 6 years: 1 cup of tea 3 times a day
- Pour boiling water over 1 filter bag per cup (125 ml), cover and leave to infuse for 10 minutes. Then squeeze out the filter bag and drink the tea lukewarm, in sips. The tea can be sweetened to taste.
- For use as a traditional sweating cure: After taking the tea, cover it and spend some time in bed.
- If the symptoms worsen or there is no improvement after 5 days, a doctor should be consulted.
- Use in children under 6 years of age is not recommended as there is insufficient data available.
Advice:
- Special care is required when taking Dr Kottas Linden Blossom Tea: If the fever does not go down despite sweating or if the fever rises above 39° C and in the case of acute complaints such as cramps of an unexplained nature, a doctor must be consulted.
