With the vitamin D3 contained in Dr Jacob's Vitamin D3 Oil forte, you can make a scientifically proven contribution to your health and the following normal bodily functions:

Falls are a risk factor for bone fractures, especially in women and men over the age of 60. An increased risk of falls in old age can also be linked to the vitamin D supply. A daily intake of 800 I.U. vitamin D - from all sources - reduces the risk of falls associated with physical instability and muscle weakness in people aged 60 and over.

Why vitamin D3 oil forte?

Diet can only make a small contribution to the vitamin D supply. The body's own vitamin D production is dependent on sufficient sunlight. This is particularly inadequate in the autumn and winter months. As a result, vitamin D levels are often diagnosed as being too low in our latitudes. According to the DGE (German Nutrition Society), blood levels should be at least 50 nmol/l (25-OH vitamin D in serum). Higher vitamin D intakes may therefore be indicated for health reasons.

Only 12% have good vitamin D levels

The Endocrine Society (one of the most important and oldest medical organisations in the world) and various experts consider a vitamin D level of over 75 nmol/l to be good. 88% of the German population do not reach this level.1 According to the Endocrine Society, the recommended daily intake of vitamin D for adults is 37.5-50 μg (1500-2000 I.U.). For people over the age of 70, the renowned US Society for Geriatric Medicine even recommends a daily intake of 100 μg (4000 I.U.) of vitamin D in order to achieve vitamin D levels of ≥ 75 nmol/l. This also corresponds to the daily intake of vitamin D from all sources derived by the EFSA (European Food Safety Authority) as safe or tolerable - for people aged 11 and over.
