Why does the female bladder need special protection?
Hardly any other organ concerns women as much as the bladder because, just like the female urinary tract, it is particularly sensitive and delicate. Men generally have much less to worry about - the male urethra is longer than that of women, which means that the male bladder is much better protected from external influences.
Stress factors for the bladder
For sensitive women, even small things can quickly cause the bladder to act up. It is often enough to wear wet swimwear on your body for too long, sit on a cold surface or not go to the toilet immediately after sex. This is particularly important because urine flushes out the bladder and urinary tract and therefore acts as a natural wash against impurities. Other stress factors for the bladder are insufficient fluid intake (so be sure to drink plenty!) and poor toilet hygiene (always wipe from front to back on the toilet).
Plant power that women have relied on for centuries
Sensitive women in particular should take action at the first signs and support their bladder health in a targeted manner. Studies have shown that certain plant extracts are particularly valuable for a healthy bladder. Such herbal and completely natural protective shields for the bladder are obtained, for example, from the Canadian cranberry, watercress, horseradish or birch leaves. Incidentally, women have been relying on these plants for centuries and it is impossible to imagine traditional naturopathy without them.
Cranberry, watercress and horseradish - high-dose extracts
Dr Böhm® Cranberry complex contains high-dose extracts of cranberry, watercress and horseradish. Birch leaf extract supports the flushing out of the urinary tract and thus makes an important contribution to bladder health. The biotin and vitamin B2 it contains contribute to healthy bladder mucosa, while vitamins C and D support the immune system. Dr Böhm ® Cranberry complex has a uniquely high content of proanthocyanidins (PAC, bioactive ingredients) of 67 mg per tablet.
Effectiveness
Healthy urinary tract
- Cranberry: The special Canadian cranberry extract is particularly rich in valuable proanthocyanidins (PAC). Dr Böhm® Cranberry complex contains an average of 67 mg PAC per tablet.
- Watercress and horseradish are rich in so-called mustard oil glycosides. These natural substances are produced by plants as a defence against pests and have similar nutritional and physiological benefits in humans.
- Birch leaf extract helps to flush out the urinary tract and makes a valuable contribution to bladder health.
Power for the immune system
- Vitamin C and D contribute to a normally functioning immune system. Healthy mucous membranes: Biotin and vitamin B2 make a valuable contribution to maintaining healthy mucous membranes.
