Nurofen® Rapid 400 mg soft capsules are a medicine containing ibuprofen. Provides a quick solution for pain such as headaches. Nurofen - Finds the pain. Has a targeted effect.

Ibuprofen belongs to a group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (non-steroidal analgesics/anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs)). These medicines provide relief by changing the way the body reacts to pain and fever.

Nurofen rapid 400 mg soft capsules are used in adults and adolescents weighing 40 kg or more (aged 12 years and over) for the short-term symptomatic treatment of

• mild to moderately severe pain, such as headache, menstrual pain, toothache
• fever and pain associated with colds.

If you do not feel better or even worse after the following number of days, consult your doctor: o after 3 days for adolescents o after 3 days for adults if you have a fever and after 4 days for pain treatment

Nurofen® Rapid 400mg soft capsules are soft capsules that are easy to swallow. They contain ibuprofen in dissolved form so that the active ingredient is quickly absorbed by the body and the pain is effectively relieved. The soft capsules are used specifically to relieve pain such as headaches. The optimum dosage of Nurofen® Rapid 400mg soft capsules provides pain relief for up to 6 hours.

Directions for use

Adults and children and adolescents weighing 40 kg or more (aged 12 years and over): Initial dose one capsule with water. Then one capsule every six hours if required. Do not take more than three capsules (1200 mg) within a 24-hour period . If adolescents need to take this medicine for more than 3 days or if symptoms worsen, a doctor should be consulted. In adults, if the medicine is required for more than 3 days for fever and more than 4 days for pain, or if symptoms worsen , the patient is advised to consult a doctor. It is recommended that patients with a sensitive stomach takeNurofen rapid with food.

Route of administration: Oral administration. Do not chew capsules. It is recommended that patients with a sensitive stomach take Nurofen rapid with food. If taken shortly after a meal, the onset of action of Nurofen rapid may be delayed.

Duration of use:

• This medicine is only intended for short-term treatment. The lowest effective dose should be used for the shortest duration necessary to relieve symptoms. If you have an infection, consult a doctor immediately if symptoms (e.g. fever and pain) persist or worsen.
• Use in adolescents: A doctor should be consulted if Nurofen is required for more than 3 days in adolescents or if symptoms worsen.
• In adults: Consult your doctor if Nurofen rapid is required for more than 3 days to treat fever and more than 4 days to treat pain, or if symptoms worsen. 8 Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you feel that the effect of this medicine is stronger or weaker than you expected.
