Dioscomb® 500 mg film-coated tablets, 30 ST

Dioscomb® 500 mg film-coated tablets are a vasoprotective medicine. It increases venous tone and the resistance of small blood vessels.

Dioscomb is used in adults:

• for the treatment of complaints associated with chronic venous disorders of the legs: feeling of heaviness in the legs, swollen legs, pain, nocturnal leg cramps.
• for the treatment of functional complaints in connection with acute complaints caused by haemorrhoids, for example pain, bleeding and swelling in the anal region.

Indication

Chronic venous disease (venous insufficiency):

• The recommended dose for adults is two film-coated tablets daily, preferably one film-coated tablet at lunchtime and one film-coated tablet in the evening with meals.
• Please be sure to consult your doctor or pharmacist if you do not feel better or feel worse after 6 weeks of taking Dioscomb to treat the symptoms of chronic venous disease. If you need to continue taking Dioscomb, the duration of your treatment will be decided by your doctor.

Acute haemorrhoidal symptoms:

• The recommended dose for adults on the first 4 days of treatment is 3 film-coated tablets twice daily (6 tablets per day).
• On the following 3 days, the dose is 2 film-coated tablets twice daily (4 tablets per day).
• The dose for maintenance treatment is 1 film-coated tablet twice daily. The film-coated tablets should be taken with meals.

The film-coated tablets should be taken with meals. For this indication you may only take Dioscomb for a limited period of 15 days. If you are taking Dioscomb to treat symptoms of acute haemorrhoidal disease, you must talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you do not feel better or even worse after 7 days. The fragment notch is only for dividing the film-coated tablet if you have difficulty swallowing it whole.

Ingredients

• The active ingredients are micronised flavonoids containing diosmin and other flavonoids known as hesperidin. Each film-coated tablet contains 500 mg of micronised flavonoids containing 450 mg of diosmin and 50 mg of flavonoids other than hesperidin.
• The other ingredients are: Core: magnesium stearate, talc, maize starch, gelatine, microcrystalline cellulose (type 102). Coating: red iron oxide (E172), yellow iron oxide (E172), macrogol 3350, partially hydrolysed poly(vinyl alcohol), titanium dioxide (E171), talc.
