- For the treatment of complaints associated with chronic venous disorders of the legs: feeling of heaviness in the legs, swollen legs, pain, nocturnal leg cramps.
- For the treatment of functional complaints in connection with acute complaints caused by haemorrhoids, for example pain, bleeding and swelling in the anal region.
Dosage form
Indication
- Chronic venous insufficiency: The recommended dose for adults is one film-coated tablet daily. Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you do not feel better or feel worse after 6 weeks of taking Dioscomb to treat the symptoms of chronic venousinsufficiency. If you need to continue taking Dioscomb, the duration of your treatment will be decided by your doctor.
- Acute haemorrhoidal symptoms: The recommended dose for adults for the first 4 days of treatment is 1 film-coated tablet three times a day (3 film-coated tablets per day). On the following 3 days, the dose is 1 film-coated tablet twice daily (2 film-coated tablets per day). The maintenance dose is 1 film-coated tablet once a day for one week. For this indication, you may only take Dioscomb for a limited period of 14 days. If you are taking Dioscomb to treat symptoms of acute haemorrhoidal disease, you must talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you do not feel better or feel worse after 7 days.
- Route of administration: The film-coated tablets should be taken at mealtimes. The fragmentary notch is only for dividing the film-coated tablet if you have difficulty swallowing it whole.
Ingredients
- The active ingredient is: micronised flavonoids containing diosmin and other flavonoids known as hesperidin. Each film-coated tablet contains 1 000 mg micronised flavonoids containing 900 mg diosmin and 100 mg flavonoids other than hesperidin.
- The other ingredients are: core: magnesium stearate, talc, maize starch, gelatine, microcrystalline cellulose (type 102). Coating: iron oxide red (E172), iron oxide yellow (E172), macrogol 3350, partially hydrolysed poly(vinyl alcohol) (E1203), titanium dioxide (E171), talc (E1203), maltodextrin, guargalactomannan (E412), hypromellose (E464), medium-chain triglycerides.
