Buscopan®, containing a natural extract from the Duboisia plant, provides targeted and well-tolerated relief from abdominal discomfort, abdominal pain and abdominal cramps.
Buscopan 10 mg coated tablets have an antispasmodic effect on the smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal tract. Buscopan 10 mg coated tablets are used for mild to moderate cramps, primarily in the gastrointestinal tract. If you do not feel any better or actually feel worse after 3 days, consult your doctor.
It acts specifically and gently relieves abdominal pain.
The active ingredient in Buscopan® is derived from a natural source: scopolamine extracts from the Duboisia plant are chemically optimised to produce butylscopolamine, a well-tolerated antispasmodic. Butylscopolamine relaxes the cramped stomach and bowel muscles and stops them from becoming overactive. It relieves tension by binding to specific control sites on the muscle cells, thereby stopping the overactivity and restoring natural movement patterns. This is how Buscopan® works specifically to relax the abdomen.
