Buscopan® with the natural extract from the Duboisia plant has a targeted and well-tolerated effect against abdominal discomfort, abdominal pain and abdominal cramps.

Buscopan 10 mg coated tablets have an antispasmodic effect on the smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal tract. Buscopan 10 mg - Coated Tablets are used for mild to moderate cramps, mainly of the gastrointestinal tract. If you do not feel better or even worse after 3 days, consult your doctor.

The active ingredient in Buscopan® is based on a natural raw material: scopolamine extracts from the Duboisia plant are chemically optimised to produce the well-tolerated and antispasmodic active ingredient butylscopolamine. Butylscopolamine relaxes the cramped stomach and intestinal muscles and prevents their overactivity. It relieves the tension by docking onto certain control points of the muscle cells, preventing the overactivity and thus restoring the natural movement sequences. Buscopan® thus has a targeted effect and relaxes the abdomen.

Dosage

• Adults: 1 - 2 coated tablets.
• Children over 6 years of age and adolescents should only take Buscopan 10 mg coated tablets after consulting a doctor.
• Route of administration: Oral use. The coated tablets should be swallowed whole with sufficient liquid.
• Duration of use: Buscopan 10 mg coated tablets should not be taken for longer than 3 days without medical advice.

Ingredients

• Active substance: 10 mg hyoscine-N butylbromide.
• Other ingredients: Calcium hydrogen phosphate dihydrate, maize starch, soluble starch, highly dispersed silicon dioxide, tartaric acid, stearic acid, povidone, sucrose, talc, gum arabic, macrogol 6000, carnauba wax, white wax, colour: titanium dioxide (E171).
