Bepanthen® Plus Cream offers protection against infections whilst promoting healing. The antiseptic effect of chlorhexidine effectively protects the wound from germs.
The active ingredient, dexpanthenol, is rapidly converted within the cells into pantothenic acid, which is a B-complex vitamin. Pantothenic acid is essential for the formation and regeneration of the skin and mucous membranes.
The active ingredient, chlorhexidine dihydrochloride, is a well-known and well-tolerated disinfectant. It kills the bacteria primarily responsible for skin infections. Bepanthen Plus Cream is used to treat all types of superficial wounds where there is a risk of infection: for example, grazes, cuts, scratches and burns.
Bepanthen® Plus Cream is very well suited for the initial treatment of superficial wounds at risk of infection, such as grazes or scratches. It disinfects effectively and supports wound healing. It also has a cooling effect, thereby relieving pain.

Active ingredients
- Chlorhexidine:Chlorhexidine is a disinfectant that combats bacteria that have entered the wound via dirt. This helps to prevent or contain infection of the wound. Chlorhexidine has a bactericidal effect with a broad antibacterial spectrum.
- Dexpanthenol:Dexpanthenol is an active ingredient that supports wound healing. It aids the formation and regeneration of skin cells from within, thereby promoting the formation of new skin tissue. This enables the wound to heal more quickly.
Dosage form
Directions for use
- Bepanthen Plus Cream can be applied to the cleansed wound or inflamed areas of skin once or several times a day, as required. The duration of treatment depends on the nature and course of the condition and, based on experience, is approximately 1–2 weeks. Avoid applying to large areas of skin.
- Use in children and adolescents: Bepanthen Plus Cream is suitable for use in infants.
- Method of use: For use on the skin.
Ingredients
- What Bepanthen Plus Cream contains – The active ingredients are: 1 g of Bepanthen Plus Cream contains 50 mg (= 5%) dexpanthenol and 5 mg (= 0.5%) chlorhexidine dihydrochloride as active ingredients.
- The other ingredients are: white petrolatum, liquid paraffin, lanolin (E 913), macrogol stearate 1800, cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, DL-pantolactone, purified water.
