pure encapsulations® SAMe - SAMe is a naturally occurring substance that is involved in numerous metabolic processes. It plays a role in the adrenaline and serotonin metabolism and as a precursor of glutathione.

Valuable intermediate stage in metabolism

S-adenosyl-methionine (SAMe) is a naturally occurring substance and is important for the metabolism as a methyl group donor. The amino acid derivative is formed from ATP (adenosine triphosphate) and the essential amino acid methionine by splitting off pyrophosphate and phosphate. SAMe is only found in very reduced amounts in food, unlike its precursor methionine, from which it is formed in the body. Vitamins B12 and folic acid are necessary for the endogenous synthesis of S-adenosyl-methionine.

Pure Encapsulations® SAMe (S-adenosyl-methionine) has been encapsulated using innovative galenics - so-called "DRcaps®" protect the sensitive ingredient from stomach acid.
