L-tryptophan - with vitamin B6 for the psyche and nerves

L-tryptophan provides you with the essential amino acid with its utilisation aid vitamin B6 for the formation of serotonin. L-tryptophan is an important building block for the body that it cannot produce itself - so it is important that you get it from your diet. This is how your body produces serotonin from L-tryptophan. Tryptophan is converted into 5-HTP (hydroxytryptophan), which is the direct precursor of the neurotransmitter serotonin.

In order for 5-HTP to become serotonin, sufficient vitamin B6 (P-5-P) must be available. This makes the B vitamin an important nutrient so that the body can regulate hormone activity. However, psycho-emotional well-being and mental performance, concentration, learning and memory also benefit from it. Your sleep-wake cycle is also linked to a balanced serotonin level. If your body cannot access enough serotonin, this also affects the quality of your sleep. After all, the "happiness hormone" is the precursor to melatonin, which our body produces primarily at night.
