magnomed® magnesium film-coated tablets are a food for special medical purposes (balanced diet). For the dietary management of muscle and calf cramps.

magnomed® magnomed® is used for dietary management of neuromuscular disorders, e.g. muscle and calf cramps or muscle tremors caused by magnesium deficiency, as well as for rapid supply in cases of increased magnesium requirements (e.g. intense muscular exertion, stress, diabetes).

Properties and area of application

• The essential mineral magnesium is indispensable for many bodily functions and is involved in over 300 specific enzyme reactions throughout the body. Magnesium plays a central role in energy production in the muscle cells, for neuromuscular stimulus transmission and the control of muscle activity. Magnesium also reduces the excitability of nerves and acts as an excellent stress regulator.
• magnomed® helps to quickly compensate for an existing magnesium deficiency or to ensure the daily supply of magnesium when there is an increased requirement (e.g. during intensive muscular exertion, sport, diabetes, stress). magnomed® promotes muscle relaxation, relieves cramps and tension, calms the nerves and maintains performance by optimising energy supply and regeneration. magnomed® magnesium film-coated tablets contain magnesium as an organic salt (citrate) with high bioavailability, which can be absorbed particularly quickly and optimally utilised by the body.
• The risk of illness resulting from magnesium deficiency can be reduced by taking magnomed®. A low magnesium level can lead to numerous illnesses, including metabolic syndrome, cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes mellitus. Furthermore, magnesium deficiency can occur as a side effect of existing illnesses and thus trigger further illnesses. Directions

• Take 1 film-coated tablet twice daily unchewed before meals with sufficient liquid. magnomed® film-coated tablets can generally be taken in the recommended daily dose without restriction.
• For adolescents, it is recommended to take 1 film-coated tablet once a day.
• However, it is not recommended for children under 12 years of age.
• Notes: Foods for special medical purposes are to be used under medical supervision and are not a substitute for drug therapy. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Use under medical supervision. Store in a dry place, protected from light and heat. Keep out of reach of children. Contraindications/side effects/warnings and precautions: Do not use magnomed® in case of known hypersensitivity to the active ingredients or excipients. Magnesium can also have a laxative effect in higher doses. magnomed® is not a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Not suitable as the sole source of nutrition.
