This discomfort can be the result of an unproductive dry cough, such as an irritating cough, which results from an irritated and dry oral mucosa. The throat lozenges with the hydrogel complex with hyaluronic acid and Icelandic moss effectively protect the mucous membranes in the mouth and throat.

Active principle

• The hydrogel complex of carbomer and xanthan gum with hyaluronic acid is incorporated into the throat lozenges. The water-binding capacity of the polysaccharide xanthan gum and the special swelling capacity of the gelling agent carbomer form a protective film over the irritated mucous membranes. The hyaluronic acid contained has the special physical property of developing a moisturising film on the surface of the mucous membranes.
• The dry residue from the special extract of Iceland moss, the hardy lichen from the harsh climate of the far north, consists of over 80 % mucilage. The extract dissolves like a balm when sucked and spreads soothingly in the mouth, throat and pharynx.
• This stimulates the flow of saliva, allows irritated mucous membranes to regenerate and alleviates typical cold and throat symptoms such as coughing and hoarseness as well as dry mucous membranes and the resulting sore throat and difficulty swallowing.

How to use

• Adults and children aged 6 and over can suck up to 6 lozenges a day as required. The lozenges are sucked slowly until completely dissolved.
• Instructions: Please only take isla® med hydro+ Mild Cherry after consulting your doctor if you are known to suffer from an intolerance to certain sugars. There is no evidence against use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Ingredients

• The throat lozenges contain aqueous extract of Iceland moss (0.4 - 0.8 : 1), carbomer, xanthan gum, sodium hyaluronate .
• Further ingredients: Arabic gum, sorbitol, maltitol, anhydrous citric acid, acesulfame K, levomenthol, flavourings, colouring plant extract (carrot/blackcurrant), medium-chain triglycerides, purified water.
• 1 lozenge contains the sugar substitutes sorbitol (0.11 g) and maltitol (0.94 g) = 0.09 BE.
