anatis Organic Maitake Mushroom Capsules are a food supplement containing 400 mg of Grifola frondosa per capsule. The daily dose contains more than 70 per cent polysaccharides.

The Maitake mushroom – also known as Grifola frondosa, the ‘dancing mushroom’, ‘rattling sponge’, ‘sheep’s head’, ‘deciduous polypore’ or ‘spatula-capped polypore’ – grows in the root zone of old deciduous trees.

In the past, Japanese and Chinese mushroom gatherers kept the locations where this mushroom was found a secret, as it was as valuable as gold and silver. Nowadays, the Maitake can be cultivated and is also regarded as a delicious edible mushroom in gourmet kitchens around the world.
