NICApur Ferroverde® 21 capsules are a dietary supplement with Mycco-Ferrin® complex, an iron-containing mushroom powder combined with vitamin C from red acerola (Malpighia glabra L.).

n an adult's body there are about three to five grams of iron. The majority of this is found in the red blood cells as a central component of haemoglobin. The red blood pigment transports oxygen from the lungs to the tissues and organs. In the muscle, the iron-containing myoglobin is a kind of oxygen store. Iron is also involved in immune defence, cell division and cognitive functions. Certain groups of people, including women of childbearing age, pregnant and breastfeeding women, growing children and adolescents, athletes, vegetarians and vegans should pay attention to their iron balance.

Ferroverde® 21 iron capsules contain 21 mg of iron, which is produced using a patented fermentation technology with the fungus A. oryzae. This well-tolerated iron is combined with vitamin C from red acerola in the MyccoFerrin® complex. Vitamin C allows the iron to be absorbed even better. The ideal iron supply for every day is 100 % vegan. Ferroverde® 21 contains a higher dose than the iron supplement of the same name Ferroverde® 14 (Ferroverde® 14 contains 14 mg iron).
