A Wellion LUNA blood glucose test strip is a high-tech product. The test strip consists of various layers into which electrodes are incorporated in a complex process, while a biological substrate - glucose oxidase - is applied to the reaction zone in a precision process. Glucose oxidase is an enzyme that reacts highly specifically with glucose in the blood. This reaction produces a current which is converted by the meter into a corresponding blood glucose value and shown on the display.
The Wellion LUNA blood glucose test strips are equipped with NO CODE technology - which guarantees you extra safety. We have deliberately decided to produce the Wellion LUNA test strips in a handy size, which makes it very easy and safe to remove them from the container and insert them into the device.
The end at which blood is drawn into the reaction zone of the strip using sip-in technology is far enough away from the measuring device due to the dimensions of the strip to prevent contamination with blood. For use with the Wellion LUNA blood glucose meter.
