WICK Formula 44 Cough Syrup with Honey is used for the symptomatic treatment of dry irritating coughs. It quickly forms a soothing, protective film on the mucous membranes of the throat. The frequency of coughing decreases after a few minutes.

WICK Formula 44 Cough Syrup with Honey soothes the cough by inhibiting the cough reflex. The effect of the medicine starts very quickly (just 15 to 30 minutes after ingestion) and lasts for up to 6 hours. In addition, a gel-like "protective film" is deposited on the irritated pharyngeal mucosa, which leads to cough reliefas soon as it is taken.

Indications

For the symptomatic treatment of dry irritating coughs (without mucus formation), e.g. in the case of colds or flu-like infections.

Directions for use

Adults and adolescents aged 14 years and over: Unless otherwise prescribed, take 15 ml every 6 hours as required, but not more than 3 times a day (see markings on the measuring cup).
Children and adolescents up to 14 years of age: The medicine is not suitable for these patients due to its alcohol content and the amount of active substance contained in one dose (15 ml syrup).
Method of administration: Oral use. Shake bottle before use. Child-resistant closure. To open, press the cap down and turn in the direction of the arrow. Pour the syrup into the measuring cup up to the 15 ml mark and then take. Rinse out the measuring cup after use. After use, screwthe cap back on in the usual way .
Duration of use: The duration of therapy depends on the symptoms and should not exceed 5 days. If the cough has not disappeared after a treatment period of 3-5 days or has not decreased significantly or has even worsened or complications occur, a doctormust be consulted .

Ingredients

The active ingredient is: dextromethorphan hydrobromide. 15 ml contain 20 mg dextromethorphan hydrobromide.
The other ingredients are: Ethanol 96%, sucrose, sodium benzoate (E 211), saccharin sodium, polyethylene oxide, carmellose sodium, sodium citrate dihydrate, citric acid (anhydrous), honey, honey flavouring L-166952, verveine flavouring 97445-73, macrogol-1800 stearate, propylene glycol , menthoxypropanediol, simple caramel (E 150a), purified water.
