High-quality algae oil

Omega-3 products are now widely used in food supplements and many of these products are derived from fish oil or krill oil. The positive properties for our health have been proven in numerous studies, but we must not close our eyes to the current situation of global overfishing and pollution of our oceans.

This is also the reason why we have opted for an alternative. Did you know that fish or krill do not produce omega-3 fatty acids themselves, but that they accumulate in their bodies through their diet? And what is the food of these marine animals? The answer: microalgae

So why not use algae for the positive properties?

In our high-quality Omega 3 capsules, the omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA are present in an optimal ratio and we use an algae oil from the microalgae Schizochytrium sp. This microalgae is not only vegan but also very rich in the long-chain fatty acids EPA and DHA and is considered a good source of antioxidants. In addition, the algae do not contribute to global overfishing and are significantly less contaminated with pollutants.

Omega-3 fatty acids are considered polyunsaturated fatty acids which are essential. This means that the body cannot produce them itself and they must be ingested with food. They are therefore vital for humans and play an important role in heart health, blood pressure and blood flow.

The important omega-3 fatty acids for humans are

ALA = alpha-linolenic acid
EPA = Elcosapentaenoic acid
DHA = docosahexaenoic acid
